Covid-19 Health and Safety

Your Safety and Health is the utmost importance to us. To help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Home Service Plus / College Electric Ltd. has taken several steps and is asking our customers to practice social distancing.

  • Home Service Plus / College Electric Ltd. are currently closed to the public. If you must come to our location, please contact us at 204-505-0095 / 204-888-2873 to make the appropriate arrangements.
  • If it is determined that you do have to come to office location, call when you arrive and a team
  • member will determine safest and best practices to meet customer needs.
  • Signage is posted throughout the building encouraging good respiratory hygiene, hand hygiene, and other healthy practices.
  • Masks are required inside the workplace and maintaining 2-3 meters (6 -10 feet) apart.
  • All technicians sanitize and then proceed to wear their PPE (masks and gloves) prior to entering
  • the residence.
  • The technicians disinfect work vehicles regularly.
  • The technician disinfects the work area prior to starting and upon completion of work in the service work area.
  • All office work areas are disinfected daily.
  • Greetings that involve physical interactions such as handshakes, will not be permitted.
  • Physical distancing standards between all people will be at least 2 metres, whenever possible.

It is critical that, if you have one symptom of COVID-19 (fever, cough or difficulty breathing), or even mild symptoms, you call and inform us to determine safety for all involved, to avoid spreading illness to others.

Additionally, if you can answer "yes" to any of the following please follow the government guidelines and self-quarantine:

  • Traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days or had contact with someone who has traveled outside of Canada in the last 14 days,
  • Experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath or other flu-like symptoms,
  • Been exposed to someone with the COVID -19 virus within the last 14 days.
  • Or tested positive for COVID -19.

If you have an appointment scheduled, we will reschedule your Service or Install to the earliest and safest time to do so. Home Service Plus / College Electric Ltd. will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and will adjust to follow guidance from public health officials and government agencies, so we can continue to support our customers and communities as needed.
